Vintage Grand Prix will be the opening musical group to play for the S.W.O.P. Green Chile Fiesta on Saturday, September 23rd at 12:00 (noon). The annual fest, which will take place at the Park on 10th Street and Park (next to Washington Middle School just south of Central in Albuquerque’s Downtown area) will feature the highly-anticipated ‘Chile Cookoff‘ as well as displays of art (traditional Retablos), music, awards honoring outstanding women, and other cultural activities. The family-friendly event is free and all are invited to taste New Mexico’s best ‘medium,’ ‘hot,’ ‘extra-hot’ and the famous ‘lumbre’ (‘Fire’) chile while listening to your favorite ‘oldies,’ rancheras, country, rock, soul, etc. music.
